When Politics Trumped Science

In December 2019, China reported an isolated outbreak of a pneumonia-like virus in the city of Wuhan. The virus caused high fevers and shortness of breath, and the cases seemed connected to the Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market in Wuhan.

The World Health Organization (WHO) identified this as a novel type of coronavirus similar to the deadly SARS virus that swept through Asia from 2002-2004. The WHO named this new strain SARS-CoV-2 (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2). Shortened to COVID.

From the very start, politically driven narratives replaced healthy scientific debate regarding COVID. Suggestions that the virus might have escaped from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, was labeled a conspiracy theory and racist.

Immediately many scientists, medical practitioners, leading physicians, and scholars questioned every aspect of the COVID response, starting with the ethics and morality of restrictive lockdown policies unseen in past pandemics. Then there was the issue of morbidity and mortality figures being inflated and exaggerated to justify extreme violations of fundamental rights and governments using fear campaigns based on speculative assumptions and unreliable predictive models.

The hastiness with which the mRNA vaccines were granted Emergency Use Authorization by the FDA was a greater concern to many. Negative information regarding the quality of the clinical trials that led to the authorization of the vaccines (including violations of research protocols and evidence of fraud); the lack of transparency regarding the process and data that led to the authorization; the inflation of efficacy estimates; and the minimization or ignoring of adverse events were suppressed by government agencies, and media outlets under government-directed censorship.

The Biden White House pressured social media outlets, such as Facebook and Twitter, to censor discussions on factually truthful information on vaccine adverse effects that might cause people to consider not getting vaccinated. This drove the acceptance of endless lies about the effectiveness of the COVID mRNA vaccines.

COVID-19 reveals a tiny percentage of the facts and data on the COVID virus, including vaccine effectiveness and adverse effects, hidden from the general public by the legacy media outlets schilling for a government totally focused on big pharma profits. It also delves into the Biden White House censorship complex, using information gathered by lawsuits, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, and the dogged work of independent journalists with the integrity of Walter Conkrite.

My Story

From the moment COVID-19 first appeared in the news, I was glued to YouTube and the web, either watching the death count rise on my TV or searching for answers on how to avoid contracting the virus. Being a 59-year-old with a lifelong history of asthma, I immediately began wearing a tight-fitting respirator whenever I left home due to my vulnerability to respiratory disease.

After receiving the first two doses of the Pfizer vaccine and encouraging others who hadn’t, I became concerned when dissenting opinions about the vaccine’s safety and effectiveness were censored. This censorship raised a red flag for me, as it usually signals a lack of solid facts and data to support a position. The final straw broke when I contracted COVID-19 despite consistently wearing my respirator. Struggling to breathe less than a year after taking a vaccine that was supposed to prevent infection made me realize I had been wrong. I found myself apologizing to every person I had urged to get vaccinated in addition to sharing my home treatment protocol.

As penance for promoting a reckless and misinformed position to my friends, I now present the kind of research I should have done before risking my health with an experimental treatment pushed on the public.

This type of research was banned in the US in 2018, due to safety concerns after a virus escaped from a US lab. Anthony Fauci, a career bureaucrat in the Nation Institute of Health (NIH), used his position to fund gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV), through a private organization to avoid watchdogs who disapproved of this dangerous activity.

In a June 9, 2021, interview with NBC’s Chuck Todd, Anthony Fauci stated, “A lot of what you’re seeing as attacks on me, quite frankly, are attacks on science.” While Fauci framed criticisms of his narrative as attacks on science, memos and emails obtained through Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests revealed how he used his position as the head of the White House COVID Task Force to influence scientists to alter their conclusions about the origin of COVID-19.

Initially, most leading virologists consulted by Fauci believed that the novel coronavirus had an unnatural origin, supporting the lab leak theory. However, the authors of the “Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2” paper changed their conclusions overnight to align with Fauci’s predetermined narrative. As the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Fauci controlled millions of dollars in funding, which would benefit some authors of this paper.

To understand the COVID-19 pandemic, consider reversing everything Anthony Fauci, the Biden Administration, and Democrats, along with their media supporters, have said, starting with the statement, “COVID vaccines are safe and effective.”

Data from pharmaceutical manufacturers, analyzed by independent researchers, showed no significant reduction in serious illness or COVID-19 mortality from the vaccines during their trials. Additionally, there were more all-cause mortality deaths in the vaccinated group. This increase in all-cause mortality has since been observed globally.
