When Politics Trumped Science

In December 2019, China reported an isolated outbreak of a pneumonia-like virus in the city of Wuhan. The virus caused high fevers and shortness of breath, and the cases seemed connected to the Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market in Wuhan.

The World Health Organization (WHO) identified this as a novel type of coronavirus similar to the deadly SARS virus that swept through Asia from 2002-2004. The WHO named this new strain SARS-CoV-2 (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2). Shortened to COVID.

From the very start, politically driven narratives replaced healthy scientific debate regarding COVID. Suggestions that the virus might have escaped from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, was labeled a conspiracy theory and racist.

Immediately many scientists, medical practitioners, leading physicians, and scholars questioned every aspect of the COVID response, starting with the ethics and morality of restrictive lockdown policies unseen in past pandemics. Then there was the issue of morbidity and mortality figures being inflated and exaggerated to justify extreme violations of fundamental rights and governments using fear campaigns based on speculative assumptions and unreliable predictive models.

The hastiness with which the mRNA vaccines were granted Emergency Use Authorization by the FDA was a greater concern to many. Negative information regarding the quality of the clinical trials that led to the authorization of the vaccines (including violations of research protocols and evidence of fraud); the lack of transparency regarding the process and data that led to the authorization; the inflation of efficacy estimates; and the minimization or ignoring of adverse events were suppressed by government agencies, and media outlets under government-directed censorship.

The Biden White House pressured social media outlets, such as Facebook and Twitter, to censor discussions on factually truthful information on vaccine adverse effects that might cause people to consider not getting vaccinated. This drove the acceptance of endless lies about the effectiveness of the COVID mRNA vaccines.

COVID-19 reveals a tiny percentage of the facts and data on the COVID virus, including vaccine effectiveness and adverse effects, hidden from the general public by the legacy media outlets schilling for a government totally focused on big pharma profits. It also delves into the Biden White House censorship complex, using information gathered by lawsuits, freedom of information act requests, and the dogged work of independent journalists with the integrity of Walter Conkrite.

My Story

From the moment COVID first appeared on the news I was glued to Youtube and the web, either watching the death count roll across my TV, or searching for answers. Namely, how can I keep from catching it. I immediately begin wearing a tight fitting respirator whenever I left home, since I was vulnerable to respiratory diseases as a 59 year old with a lifetime history of asthma.

After taking the first 2 shots of the Pfizer vaccines, and chiding others for not, the censorship of dissenting opinions regarding the safety and claimed effectiveness of an experimental vaccines, raised a red flag. After all, censorship, is the first sign of those lacking facts and data to support their position. Catching COVID-19, while regularly wearing my respirator was the final straw in this charade. To be gasping for breath, less than a year from taking a vaccine that I was told would prevent me from catching COVID, had me apologizing (for being an arrogant idiot), to every person I told to get vaccinated.

My penance for pushing a reckless, misinformed position on my friends is presenting the type of research I should have done initially, which follows.

This type of research was banned in the US in 2018, due to safety concerns after a virus escaped from a US lab. Anthony Fauci, a career bureaucrat in the Nation Institute of Health (NIH), used his position to fund gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV), through a private organization to avoid watchdogs who disapproved of this dangerous activity.

Being the lying bureaucrat he is, Fauci denied ever funding gain-of-function research.

On a June 9, 2021, interview with NBC’s Chuck Todd, Anthony Fauci said, “A lot of what you’re seeing as attacks on me, quite frankly, are attacks on science.” While Fauci was defining criticisms of his narrative as an attack on science, memos and emails gathered from Freedom of Information Act IFOIA) requests revealed how he used his position as the head of the White House COVID Task Force to get scientists to change their conclusions regard the source of COVID-19.

Most leading virologists consulted by Anthony Fauci initially thought that the novel coronavirus had an unnatural origin, supporting the lab leak theory. Overnight authors of the “Proximal Origin of Sars CoV-2” paper changed their papers conclusions to support Anthony Fauci’s predetermined narrative. As the head of the National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Disease (NIAID), Fauci controlled millions of dollars of funding which would go to some authors of this paper.

The Cleveland Clinic study was one of the first major studies making it through the COVID medical censorship machine, to show COVID-19 vaccines increasing the risk of catching the disease. While correlation does not necessarily equal causation, a failure to see a dramatic reduction in the incidence of the disease a vaccine is supposed to protect you from is highly suspicious. Seeing an increase in the incidence of the disease you are vaccinating for in multiple studies, makes the correlation is not causation argument less convincing.
